Adenoidectomy

استئصال اللحمية هو إجراء جراحي يهدف إلى إزالة اللحمية الملتهبة أو المتضخمة.

وهي عبارة عن نسيج صغير يقع خلف الجزء الخلفي من الأنف، بالقرب من الجزء العلوي من الحلق.

لماذا يتم إزالتها؟

يمكن أن تؤدي اللحمية المتضخمة إلى انسداد مجرى الهواء، مما يؤدي إلى مشاكل متنوعة، خاصة عند الأطفال:

صعوبة التنفس من خلال الأنف: يصبح التنفس من الفم أمرًا شائعًا، مما يؤدي إلى تشوهات في الوجه وجفاف الفم.
الشخير وانقطاع التنفس أثناء النوم: يمكن أن يؤثر اضطراب النوم على النمو والتطور.
التهابات الأذن المتكررة: يؤدي انسداد قنوات أوستاكي، التي تربط الأذن الوسطى بمؤخرة الأنف، إلى زيادة خطر الإصابة بالالتهابات.
التهاب الجيوب الأنفية المتكرر: يؤدي انسداد الجيوب الأنفية إلى التهاب وألم.

Adenoidectomy is a surgical procedure to remove inflamed or enlarged adenoids.

These are small pads of tissue located behind the back of your nose, near the top of your throat.

Why remove them?

Enlarged adenoids can block your airway, leading to various problems, especially in children:

• Difficulty breathing through the nose: Mouth breathing becomes common, leading to facial deformities and dry mouth.
• Snoring and sleep apnea: Disrupted sleep can affect growth and development.
• Frequent ear infections: Blocked Eustachian tubes, connecting the middle ear to the back of the nose, increase the risk of infections.
• Recurrent sinusitis: Blocked sinuses lead to inflammation and pain.
