Sinusitis

Sinusitis surgery, also known as sinus surgery, is a procedure to treat chronic or severe sinusitis that hasn't responded to other treatments. It aims to improve drainage and airflow in the sinus cells by removing inflammation inside the cells.

Why is it done?

• Chronic sinusitis with symptoms lasting over 3 months despite medications or other treatments.
• Frequent sinus infections (4 or more in a year).
• Facial pain or pressure.
• Nasal polyps (growths in the sinuses).
• Severe nasal congestion or difficulty breathing.
